Eat a Lionfish

They have a large number of healthy benefits, including being high in Omega-3 and low in heavy metals.

A greener than green choice.

Ask if lionfish are on the menu when dining at local restaurants. Your requests will help generate the demand for local fishermen to catch and sell lionfish.

If you spear a lionfish and want to eat it, remember to use safe handling practices. Avoid being stuck by one of the 18 venomous spines, carefully remove all the spines and fins with a pair of scissors or sharp knife and then you can clean it like any other fish.

They taste delicious and can be prepared in any number of ways.
